Great food and great service. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the waffle was fresh. Everything came out hot and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend this spot, and I’ll be back again!
Food was great, took my wife, step son, & mother in law there. We all enjoyed the food. Everything tasted great. The atmosphere was pleasant/peaceful. The employees were nice. What had me loving this place even more was the bathrooms were extremely clean. Toilets, sink, floor, sink had soap in the dispenser. It was a great dining experience. We’re definitely going back soon!
I had the chicken with Mac & cheese, candied yams, creamed spinach and banana pudding. Everything was delicious. I’m writing this review because I’m thinking about it after finishing the leftover banana pudding. I will definitely be going back to Uncle C’s The staff was also quick and helpful. No complaints
I chose this place over ordering for Popeyes. The food was absolutely delicious. I got a three-piece chicken with Muffins and large hand tossed salad, which was all A fresh and tasty. I am pleasantly surprised I will be returning.
First time trying this place and I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the waffles were cooked to perfection, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the overall experience was great. I can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu! I’ll definitely be back!
I arrived 5:50 on a Saturday afternoon. Made my order the cashier waa patient and knew the menu well and gave me the option of ordering by the piece pr combo. I ordered two chicken legs, shrimp,fries and yams. Everything was served reasonably fast and hot. Everything tasted great. The chicken was juicy the shrimp was bigger than pop corn, size. The yams tasted like homemade. The mac and cheese also tasted homemade with the cheese melted together with a little crust on it. There were a generous portion of fries Un salted. You have the choice of salt, ketchup and some other sauces. There are window seats if you are alone. There are a 6 tables that seat 4 and one large table that could seat as many as 10 people. However your timing has to be right. There is ONE toddler/baby seat. Bathrooms are locked and require a combination and are relatively clean. They are two and they are gender Everything and are handicapped accessible. Look at attached picture. Parking is free mostly on one side however you can park on otherside but it could also be considered bank parking. You can get food togo and not be disappointed. There is a multi ethnic clientele. Both young,old ,black, white, Hispanic and some Asian who all come here to pick up food to take home. They've cheesecake and banna pudding and I think it's called empanada. Some of the best sweet tea around...cross between McDonald's and Chick fil A sweet. If you are trying to decide between here or Popeyes Tea,or lemonade this is better in my opinion. Mild chicken is great here.
I tried the creamed spinach yesterday and it was great, I want to try the candied yams since I hadn’t seen them on the menu before. I am always a huge fan of their waffles and tenders, they’re very good quality and always so filling. The mac and cheese was also really good, I usually just like to add hot sauce to it to make it spicy. Everything is really great here whether you order pickup or to eat inside, it’s all great food it’s just can get a bit expensive.
Don't know how I've been driving past this spot for years and finally stopped in for dinner on Friday after work. The food was delicious, the place is small but very clean. My companion loved the chicken and waffles. I really enjoyed the fish and corn bread. Service was fast and the price was reasonable. We both agreed that Uncle C's was a great choice. We will be back!
Uncle C's has become one of our favorite Chicken and waffles spots in the DMV area. My husband recently tried one of their sandwiches called the NASHVILLE...and he swears it's one of the BEST sandwiches he's ever had. Go visit. It's super clean too. Someone is always wiping off a table or cleaning a door.
First time eating here and I have no regrets. The team was so nice and welcoming. Chicken had great seasoning and crunch to it. Some delicious lemonade and sweet banana pudding. Definitely will be returning
